Welcome to Jules Paige Art
My name is Jules Jaramillo and thank you for accompanying me on my art journey @julespaigeart.
The Beginning
I have always loved creating art. My favorite class was art with Mrs. Bauer and I had hoped she would take me under her wing. She was very encouraging- just not with art. When Mrs. Bauer came walking around the room looking at students' art, she always had a positive comment to give to all the students. "Nice shading, good perspective, great detail." Then she would get to me... "Ok, Jules. Keep up your good work in sports."
The Middle
I gave up...on art. There were sports, there was college, and there was finding something "meaningful" to focus efforts on. Then there was marriage, career, and children; all beautiful things to nurture. I spent my entire career in social work with my favorite people; children, youth, and families.
And So Not The End
And art? Well, art was always there in the background- whispering... "What about me?" And about 6 years ago, I listened. I studied under 2 artists, attended countless art classes, and made art center of my leisure time. And now, after significant life events, I am creating art full-time in a small designated studio and am learning to navigate whole new ways of promoting my art- some of which I know nothing about.

And... I am growing in ways that I never imagined. Most of it is glorious and some of it makes me want to scream, cry, pull out my hair, or simply quit. But I am still here.
